Before talking further about the specific features and specs of 2021 BMW M6, it is good to know that the company won’t continue making the manuals again – and it applies for good. According to Frank van Meel, the BMW performance chief, the company has decided that they will ditch the production for manuals and they will discontinue it. It is based on the fact that the demand for their gearbox had drastically reduced, almost to none.
According to van Meel, buyers find it the manuals to not as exciting as the automatic, which is more economical and faster. Both the lines from BMW, the M5 and M6, come with auto dual clutch 7 speed transmission and the gearbox, but the buyers prefer the auto much than the manuals.
BMW isn’t alone in ditching their manual variants as Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche are thinking the same thing. They are facing the same issues so they are seriously thinking about discontinuing their manual lines. Well, whatever happens to the different variants of the ride, it shouldn’t stop you from marveling the new 6 Series, which is claimed to have more promising features and power.
The 2021 BMW M6 will be coming in coupe, making this fourth generation of the 6 Series variant to be the next best thing to wait – even after the F13 sports design and the F12 Exchangeable.
According to a reliable source, the ride is on the early stage of production. The team of experts is still busy making plans and performance mapping, basically to improve functionality and performance. There is no official remark or announcement from the company just yet, but most people predict that the current design is already good enough. It is possible that they will still use the same design, keeping up the new front side lights that are connected to the kidney grille. It is also possible that OLED technology will be used for the front lights and taillights, so they will be sleeker, slimmer, and somewhat more elegant. From the rendering image alone, this line is surely a work of beauty.
It remains unclear what kinds of features and specs available for this line but a significant weight well be taken from the current model. For this new variant, the new ride will be coming with a slimmer design, thanks to the removal of 250 kilograms from the total construction. Thanks to the carbon fiber construction and frame, the new car will be lighter and slimmer without compromising quality and performance.
BMW is developing plans for their M6 lines, definitely. Besides the regular 6 Series, the M6 series will be on the prep stage. The latter is expected to have higher efficiency so cross your fingers for it. There will be three different body customs with three different trims, such as the convertible, the coupe, and the eco-friendly coupe. No matter whatever designs they are working on, you can always depend on them to deliver high quality ride – even with lighter and better wind resistant features.
It is likely that the new 2021 BMW M6 will be coming with the inline-six 3.0 engine that is able to deliver 347 hp of power. It is also possible to use the 4.4 V8 that is able to deliver faster performance, up to 600 hp of power. Let’s wait and see for more updates.
It is still unknown when BMW is planning to release their new 2021 BMW M6 type. Rumor has it that it is likely to happen around 2021 on the last quarter. In case they want to get prepared, the ride should be released at the latest of the first quarter of 2021.
