Our new Animal Health Clinic is under construction!
The Salisbury Zoo is currently buiding a new animal health clinic, which has been funded thanks to generous donations to the Renew the Zoo capital campaign. We desperately need adequate space to care for sick and injured animals, as well as quarantine animals that are new to our collection.
When our Andean bear needed dental surgery in 2009, it had to be done outdoors! While a success, it's obvious something had to be done.

In addition, in order to maintain our Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) accreditation, the Zoo must build a facility that provides quarantine areas for large animals, an appropriate surgery and treatment room for sick and injured animals. |
If we lose our AZA accreditation, we could lose some of our most beloved animals, including the Andean Bear, the red wolves, and our spider monkeys! |
We still need to purchase the equipment and supplies that will go inside our Animal Health Clinic. So please consider helping us fund this important project today!
