The Delmarva Zoological Society has been working hard to Renew the Zoo and it's been an exciting year for the Salisbury Zoological Park. But we need your support to continue to offer the community the quality Zoo experience our visitors deserve.
So what's new at the Zoo this year?
Here are some of the highlights:
- Construction of the new Discover Australia! exhibit has begun and we are introducing wallabies to Delmarva this fall - ahead of schedule!
- The Beastro, a new concession stand funded by the Salisbury Zoo Commission, was built to better serve Zoo visitors and we look forward to a grand opening in Spring 2013.
- A newly expanded Bison exhibit allowing visitors to see these magnificent creatures at eye level to fully appreciate their size and strength.
- The Zoo recently welcomed nine alpacas to Salisbury. An alpaca, along with the llama and guanaco, are from South America and are members of the Camelid family.
Your generous contribution helps us continue to offer the kind of educational programs that touch the lives of so many students in our community. Every year we see more and more school groups requesting educational programming and we love the opportunity to provide every group with an experience they will remember.
