Salisbury Zoo launches $3 million
Capital Campaign to Renew the Zoo!
The Salisbury Zoo is ready for an extreme makeover - animal edition! For more than 50 years, our free, community Zoo has been a showplace on the Delmarva Peninsula, and each year attracts more than 300,000 visitors to enjoy the animals and their natural habitats.
Over the years, our animal collection has grown, the exhibits have changed, and the educational opportunities have exploded. With a vision to better enhance the zoo experience, for both the animals and the visiting public, the Salisbury Zoo is excited to launch Renew the Zoo, a $3 million capital campaign to provide critical infrastructure upgrades for the zoo.
This campaign will help fund:

With a vision to better enhance the zoo experience, for both the animals and the visiting public, the Salisbury Zoo is excited to launch Renew the Zoo, a $3 million capital campaign to provide critical infrastructure upgrades for the zoo.
This campaign will help fund:
ANIMAL HEALTH CLINIC A new state-of-the-art Animal Health Clinic to treat sick or injured animals from our collection and to quarantine new animal arrivals at the zoo. This facility will offer Zoo medical staff an appropriate place to care for these animals and nurse them back to health.
WILLIAM E. MORGAN ENVIRONMENAL CENTER An eco-friendly facility where learning will come naturally. Using the best green technology available and providing a more interactive experience for Zoo visitors, the new Environmental Center (located on the current Visitor's Center site) will enhance the Zoo experience for the more than 20,000 students who visit each year.
DISCOVER AUSTRALIA! An entirely new exhibit of of Australian animals! These new exhibits will showcase some of the land down under, including the wallaby (a smaller version of the kangaroo) and a walk-thru aviary where visitors will be able to feed the birds up close.

WOW! Wicomico County really embraced our Just Zoo It! campaign and we are finally done counting all the nickels, dimes and quarters that kids all over the county collected on Halloween night. Drumroll please.............
